You’re absolutely spoiled for choice! Last time I went with my mate, we enjoyed some cutlture at Museum of the Home, Hackney. Followed by food and fun at the Box Park in Shoreditch. We browsed the stalls at Spitalfields Market and enjoyed some upmarket shopping at Covent Garden and Fortum and Masons. 

However, there are so many fun things to do, our last trip sounds a bit tame. Whether you’re planning a birthday treat, a weekend catch-up, or just fancy some quality time with your besties, we have handpicked some unforgettable experiences in London that go way beyond your standard coffee and chat.

From fun afternoon tea to immersive art, shopping sprees, spa days, and cocktails in a ball pit (yes, really!), there’s something for every kind of girl gang.

So grab your favourite people and get ready for an day of fun and laughter in the capital. Here are our top picks for the ultimate girls’ day out in London.

There are so many cool places for afternoon tea, you’ll find hard to pick the best experiences for your and your mates.

Here are a few unique options.

Afternoon tea on a boat cruise – Cruise along the River Thames, see the sights of London and enjoy afternoon tea as you go. The cruise lasts 1.5 hours and you’ll go from the Houses of Parliament to the Tower of London and back.

Sketch – the iconic Gallery at Sketch is practically made for a girls’ day out. Indulge in elegant pastries, finger sandwiches and tea (or Champagne!) in one of London’s most Instagrammed restaurants.

Hampton Court Palace is another beautiful venue, situated on the outskirts of London.  Get the train from London Waterloo to Hampton Court Palace (about a 45 minute journey). See Henry VIII’s great hall and visit the Tudor kitchens at this historic Royal Palace.

ABBA, dancing, and a Mediterranean feast

Enjoy a slow ride, giving you plenty of time to experience London’s skylines which includes sights such as the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

The Tate Modern is well worth a visit if your group loves art. It’s one of the world’s most renowned contemporary art museums and it’s free to enter. It’s also free to visit the viewing gallery on the 10th floor. Enjoy views of London’s skyline, including the Thames River, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Shard, and Millennium Bridge.
