The question is is a family room big enough for a family of 2 adults and 2 teens?

Family rooms typically have a double bed, a sofa bed and a pull out bed. They can accommodate two adults and 2 kids (up to 16 years). Plus kids stay free. Kids 16 years and over are classed as adults.

When we last stayed in a Premier Inn family room, our children were 14 and 9. My eldest was already adult-sized, and while the room worked for one night, it did feel cramped with all four of us. Some Premier Inn family rooms are more spacious than others, but if your kids are older or you’re staying for more than a night or two, the room might start to feel a bit tight.

That said, it really depends on your plans. If you just need a place to sleep after a busy day out, Premier Inns do the job well. But if you’re planning a longer stay or want a bit more space to relax, booking two rooms might be worth it. Many Premier Inns offer interconnecting rooms, which give everyone more room while still keeping the family close together. It’s best to call the hotel directly to check if these are available.

Premier Inn County Hall in London is a top choice of budget hotel for families visiting London. It’s in a fantastic location, just a few minutes walk away from the London Eye and the London dungeon. There are also many more Premier Inns around London. If you don’t mind a short trip into central London (15 to 20 minutes on the tube), Premier Inn, Canary Wharf has excellent reviews and is often cheaper.
