Morning: The Tower of London
Start your London adventure at one of the city's most famous attractions.
The Tower of London has stood on the banks of the River Thames for almost 1,000 years and is home to the Crown Jewels!
Top Tips:
1.) Don't skip a Yeoman Warder (Beefeater) tour to hear fascinating funny and engaging stories of kings, queens, prisoners and executions. You'll learn so much more stuff and have a much better experience than if you wander round on your own. They leave every 15 to 30 minutes by the entrance.
2.) Arriving early helps you avoid the busiest crowds. Aim to arrive 15 minutes before it opens at 9am.
3.) If you want to see the crown jewels, go their first as the queue to this builds up quickly too.
4.) The quietest times tend to be early on weekdays (avoid school holidays and weekends if at all possible). Tuesdays and Wednesdays tend to be the quietest.
