Looking for a funday out at an indoor water park in the Midlands? Want to experience some slides or waves with the kids?

Look no further! We have a round up of the best indoor water parks and swimming pools with slides in the Midlands.

There are massive waterparks with slides galore as well as leisure centres with smaller offerings. Read on to discover the best places with flumes, rapids, lazy rivers and splash zones throughout the Midlands.

The Wave, Coventry

The Wave is the newest addition to indoor waterparks in the Midlands and arguably the best for high speed slides.

If you dare, try the Torrent where the floor disappears beneath your feet and your plunged to a flume. The Cyclone takes you down a slide and whirls your around a big bowl before you are plunged into a big bowl of water.

More gentle rides include The Rapids and The Crestar. Share the ride with friends on a double inflatable (or use a single inflatable if you prefer to go along).

If you want to chill, have fun swirling around the lazy river and try out the wave pool.

Young kids will love the Reef, a dedicated splash zone for the Under 8s with mini slides, tipping buckets, jets and fountains.

There is also the Cascade slide which kids under 1.2 meters can ride with an adult.

Alton Towers Water Park

By Andrewmc123, Public Domain,

Located in Staffordshire Alton Towers water park has been a film favorite of families for many years.

What I loved about the Alton Towers water park is that you can swim outside in all weather in the heated bubbly wubbly pool. An outdoor water flume also takes you outside all year round!

For adrenaline seekers there’s two high speed slides, the Master Blaster and Rush and Rampage.

The Little Leak area has lots of fun to entertain little ones and the Wacky Waterworks Centre has over 70 interactive water features to try.

After experiencing the thrills, chill out along the lazy river or enjoy a swim with the kids in the Lagoona pool.

WaterWorld Stoke on Trent

Waterworld is the biggest water park in the Midlands and there really is something for everybody!

It has great high speed slides including The Thunderbolt where the floor drops out beneath you and you are plunged into a 25 metre flume.

There’s also the Stormchaser, the longest ride at WaterWorld with dark black holes,a colour show of flashing lights and loops. For speed, the Hurricane propels you at 17mph or try the Cyclone where you reach speeds of 19mph and shoots out into a spiralling dome.

For even more thrills, the black hole hurtles you through the darkness or you can go spinning into the space bowl

As well as slides for thrill seekers, there’s plenty of family slides that younger kids can go on with an adult. Toddler slides occupy the youngest of kids.

If you want to chill, enjoy swimming in the pool or relax in the bubble pooll. In the summer months, there’s an outdoor pool too.
